The basics

As I was lying awake at 3 am, I realized I hadn’t written any of the who,why, where type of things.

So. We are staying in a little apartment until Sunday. It is right in Central Reyjkavik– which means we can walk to all the restaurants and cute little shops. The bed is insanely comfortable. We made ourselves go back to sleep at 3– and it is now 930am and Max is still asleep.

So far the weather is gorgeous. Actually saw one kid in shorts yesterday.

The people here are Incredibly gracious. Everyone just as nice as they could possibly be. Outside of storekeepers and restaurant workers we have mainly talked to other tourists. All of them taking advantage of Icelandic Air’s free offer of allowing people to stay in iceland for a couple of days of their trip to Europe or the US.

There seemed to be a lot of school kids outside yesterday. I don’t know if they were here on field trips, or it is just normal, or it was because the weather was nice. I think I will ask today.

The food is slightly different, but very good. And California prices–so nothing shocking to us, though would seem expensive if you were here from the rest of America.

Today we are going to the Art Gallery and Settlement Musuem. And then we have tickets for a little comedy show tonight.

I am going to wake up my husband.
