Vilnius..churches

What a lovely day. Went to the Peter and Paul church..one of the few that stayed open during the occupation. It’s almost all white inside. Some pics:

Peter was a fisherman, so his boat hangs in the middle of the church…with a Viking twist.
Max took this one.. Saint Barbara keeps popping up in our travels, maybe she is watching over us.

Though most of the statues have a Grecian look, the one below was make by the 17th century artist to look like his wife–who was named Maria Magdalena as well.

Ended the tour at the Occupation museum.. these stones were gathered from all over to symbolize those killed by the Soviet Occupation. Hard to believe this could happen in recent history.

We are slowly recovering from Jet Lag, but totally enjoying this lovely country
