It is really NOT fun to move Ola in windy weather. So when we meet Ola we buffer the arrival and departure dates. We arrive a couple of days early and have hotel reservations for a couple of days after they are “supposed” to drop us off. That gives them a couple of days to work with just in case. And we tend to be a little off balance the first day off the boat as well.
As we were planning our last 3 days here it seemed like finding a place to just rest and relax would be a good idea.
Marriot has a resort so we booked it….it was at the upper end of what we spend…but just for 3 nights so that seemed ok. The reviews were good, though one person warned that only one restaurant would be open, the “season” really doesn’t start here till May.
WELL…. what we didn’t realize it it is their soft opening so our “expensive” hotel room was actually 1/2 price!!! OMG. This has been incredible.

Turkish people have been kind and generous across the board…So when they are actually trying to give good service it ends up feeling like Heaven!
