Bodrum!

We are here! We will meet the Catamaran (Ola) the day after tomorrow. Boy, have they had an adventure getting here. Right now they are still out in the ocean trying to sail fast enough to moor here tonight.

Today we saw 3 ruins. We walked a lot, listened carefully and enjoyed b eing off the beaten path–almost no one else at any of these ruins…. all of which has made us VERY tired.

This is a temple to Artemis… but more the hunter lady then the fertility godess. Interestingly they also had a Temple to Isis (from Egypt–it just is not that far away). The marble was taken from the pockmarked cliff behind.

This was where the Gladiators fought animals… It sat 53,000 people. The hall is where the Gladiators walked. It is amazing to be in buildings 2000 years old.

And this is where the not famous Oracles lived (the famous ones are on Delphi). It was HUGE.

We may rest tomorrow, We will decide when we wake up!. Love you all.
