I wish I could

wrap up today and send it to each of you! Karen and Steve decided to go Mountain Biking, so after PE and a sea salt bath Max and I went into to town to see what groceries we could find.

We docked the dinghy and walked over to Rosemary’s (where we had a wonderful dinner Wednesday night) to make reservations. The cousin called someone who spoke English and we got our reservations (it is still so pre-season here that basically meant they opened the restaurant for us!). Then I asked the cousin if there was a grocery store. He said “Market?” I said “Yes” and we were off.

After half a mile he stopped and we were transferred to Sila’s cart. She was our waitress and speaks English (went to the University of Sarejvo). She took us to the produce stand.

Then we switched to the Dad’s CAR—(recharging issues) and started to go to the Bread shop, but he called her and said there was a funeral that we needed to stop by. Here the dead person’s family treats the whole town to a sweet–hot donuts!

Then on to the wine store, which was closed, but Sila found a young man who opened it up for us. AND when she didn’t like the wine selection went and found the good wines!

Back to there restaurant to buy the best olive oil I have ever tasted. The women who makes the olive oil was sewing cushions for outside seating on an old Singer.

And then home to the BEST lunch.

It was so real and fun and generous of everyone here. What a day!!!
