We are waiting in our hotel room. In 30 minutes a “transports car” will come to pick up our 4 suitcases , 2 carry-on bags and 3 bags of groceries to take us to a location that Steve and Karen are currently trying to find. They are in the dinghy… dropped some trash and are looking for someplace to tie up! This is the adventure.
OK–disclaimer…. I tell funny stories WAY better then I write them, but I just can’t keep this one in until I see you guys.
Lovely (roof top) restaurant here. We ate there Friday night. I had lamb shish (the BEST dish in Turkey) for lunch… but it was a late lunch. So I ordered just a bowl of mushroom pasta. I ate the morel mushrooms and just a bit of the pasta. When the waiter came over I laughingly said “This was delicious, I am just not very hungry. Can you just put it in the fridge and I will eat it tomorrow?”

Went back in last night, again after a late lamb shish lunch. And so I told our waiter (same guy) “I think I’ll have the Burrata Salad and the starter ravioli for dinner”. He said, “And your Muishroom pasta after that?” Max and I laughed….and then realized he was serious…Cancelled the ravioli… Loved the leftover pasta! A LOT!

This to me has been the essence of Turkey.. Kind, thoughtful, practical people. I am looking forward to OLA, but we have wonderful memories of so many kind people here.
We may not have Internet, so if I go dark don’t worry. Love. Barbara
