We met a man from Britain who said being here is a little like Disneyland. One day you are Volcanoland, the next Glacierland, the following Fjordland.
So we woke up this morning to this view in Glacierland
Then drove through Fjordland.
We stopped in a lovely fishing village for lunch.
Where the food is getting more Danish. This is the best smoked salmon- which they made into an
open sandwich
.

And this was the everything-cake–macroons, vanilla and choc pudding, chocolate-covered raisins. I think the everything-desert in Reyjavik was an update of this.
Before we came we watched a video from the Iceland transit authority on how to drive in Iceland. They said avoid sheeps

AND talked about how to cross a one lane bridge–carefully would be the best way. Well at first Max would slow down, but after your first 20 one-lane bridges you do get a little cocky…this one has the one-lane sign, then curves. AND it was raining, and the odds are sheep were wandering around.
We stopped at this lady’s house.

She collected ALL these rocks from right around here. Did you know volcanos made so many varieties of rock.

20,000 rocks in all.
Again– like a lot here– there is the time and space to stop and ponder on the spiritual significance. Of volcanic eruptions, and rocks spewed out, then camouflaged in an outer layer that most people would pass right by.
And then we followed this and went swimming.
So there will be this little town like this ..

And when you leave it there is this sign:
