Then we stopped by the Milwaukee Museum of Art. Firstly, Best building EVER:

That is just the Entrance Hall–pretty darn grand!

And then as I walked through I realized the rooms were designed to be cohesive visually! We saw some curators doing this with sculptures as they related to paintings in Europe. But I don’t think I have seen it in rooms. Like there was one that all the pieces had something shiny. Another all had an odd mustard/yellow color. The Barnes in Philadelphia has something like that.

Somehow they all relate. The white box in the middle is NOT a chair, but art. I liked this picture better with the visitor in it (he was surprised about the box as well)

My quilting style is to often make a block I like, and then relate it to all the blocks in the quilt as well. So I like this way of showing art better then by date or artist or “movement”.
