2026–Our Bi-annual Road Trip..

We are at my friend Betsy-family’s lake house. It’s a great story. Duke energy dammed a river and 60 years ago when it formed a lake you could drive out to the lake on a certain day and sign up to lease some land.

Her mom piled the 4 kids in a car and sat on this piece of land and signed the lease.

Then about 20 years ago her parents built a lovely house. And now we are all retired we can just hang on the lake for a week!
